Yellow Ribbon Suicide Prevention Program of Delaware County

Why Get Involved?

While children spend up to 7 hours a day at school more then 50% of the schools in the United States do not have a formal suicide prevention program.








Teen Suicide is a Serious Problem

Tragically suicide is the 3rd leading cause of death for youth ages 15-24*
There are approximately 100-200 attempts for every completed suicide.

 13.8% of U.S. high school students reported that they had seriously considered attempting suicide during the 12 months preceding the survey; 6.3% of students reported that they had actually attempted suicide one or more times during the same period.

YRSPP of Delco is community based program dedicated to teaching the youth of Delaware county two essential life skills:
